Sharper Thumbnails

I switched Gallery over to the ImageMagick library and regenerated all my thumbnails. They look much sharper now, and resizing runs a lot quicker than it did going through GD. If you're hosting with Midphase (aka AN Hosting), the path you need is:

/usr/local/ImageMagick-6.2.9/bin

I didn't see this information posted anywhere, so hopefully this helps the next person looking for it.

Photography Section Complete

The photography section of Blamcast is now complete! It's powered by an embedded version of Gallery2 with a customized version of the Siriux theme. I've also created a mini-version of my Drupal theme specifically for the photo section, in order to minimize scrolling.

The small thumbnails you see on the right of this site are generated by a PHP script I put together. It automatically resizes and caches thumbnails from the gallery. It looks much nicer than just having the web browser scale them down, and it saves bandwidth, too!
